He holds Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and possesses some 20 years of experience in different segments and positions within the nuclear sector, including national and international activities.
He has been responsible for the Italian activities in Russia on Spent Nuclear Fuel and Radioactive Waste Management during his work for Sogin’s office in Moscow (Russia) in the frame of the Italian Support to of G8 Global Partnership Programme. His experience includes also the responsibility of the National Repository Engineering and of the Design Sector in Sogin’s main office in Rome (Italy).
Mr. Bruno is currently responsible for the Radioactive Waste and Nuclear Material Management within the Engineering and Radiation Protection department. The main task of his Area is to support in the definition of the radioactive waste and nuclear material management strategy, with the focus on SNF management, analysis of the processes among Sogin’s sites and optimization of the volume for the site temporary storage.
In the Sogin’s Radwaste Management School, he is practice leader for Decommissioning Technologies.
